Meet the artist
Second Chance Glassworks creator Jennifer Barnaby combines artistry, sustainability, and technique to create handcrafted pieces by giving previously loved glass a "second chance." These upcycled treasures are made from art glass, fused glass, window glass, architectural glass, and more. Each piece is designed and assembled by the artist herself. Jennifer is a lifelong artist who built her career in New York City across multiple media and art forms after attending the Fashion Institute of Technology. Today she creates from her studio in Maine, New York, weaving her experience and innovation into the age-old medium of glass.
Second Chance Glassworks is my work as a glass artist, built with the steady support of my partner, Pierre O’Farrell. I design and create each stained and fused glass piece by hand, while Pierre—alongside his careers as an actor, producer, and writer—supports the business through logistics, travel, and behind-the-scenes work. Together, we’ve traveled to art shows and events near and far, growing this business side by side. Every piece reflects our creative vision, strengthened by a shared commitment to hard work and the artistic community.

“One of the vendors, Second Chance Glass, involves the process of reclaimed glass making. The shop, headed by Jennifer Barnaby, of Binghamton, creates remarkable glasswork made of fully reused glass. Barnaby does all of the framing and cutting of the wire work individually and most of the completion of the work is done between 10 to 15 hours in a kiln..”
